Sustainability collaboration

A joint research conference between Lancaster University Management School, UK and Sunway Business School, Malaysia has sown the seeds of future collaboration and meaningful impact in sustainability research. The Collaborating Together conference aimed to showcase staff research, encourage and strengthen research collaborations between the Schools, provide a platform to share ongoing research and identify areas for future joint research-funded initiatives.

Global teaching partnerships

Lancaster is constantly developing partnerships across the world to ensure it delivers teaching that takes students to the frontiers of knowledge and produces graduates who can compete in a global job market. In addition to numerous international research partnerships, Lancaster has five strategic overseas teaching partnerships. Lancaster degrees are offered in the UK, China, Germany, Ghana, and Malaysia – as well across the globe online. Our newest strategic overseas partnership, based in Indonesia, currently offers foundation programmes and will offer Lancaster degrees in 2025.

• Lancaster University Leipzig, Germany offers Lancaster undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as partner delivered foundation and pre-master’s programmes.
• Lancaster University Ghana offers Lancaster undergraduate programmes and a partner delivered foundation programme. The campus also facilitates research opportunities in the region.
• Lancaster University College at Beijing Jiaotong University, China is a joint institute that allows students to receive degrees from both institutions with separate academic transcripts.
• Sunway University, Malaysia is an academic partnership where students can study on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes and graduate with a degree from both universities. It is also home to Lancaster and Sunway’s Future Cities Research Institute.
• Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia is a novel partnership between two universities to establish an innovative joint branch campus in Bandung, Indonesia. It will allow students to gain a globally recognised degree from each institution. Currently the campus offers a partner delivered foundation programme.
