Located in Bowland Main Quad, the student common room is a combined Wi-Fi enabled study and social space. With comfy seating, TV's, dart boards, table tennis, pool table and plenty of board games, it is a good space to relax, meet friends or do some work. Split into two rooms, the spaces are also used for organised college social events and can be booked by societies for their activities.
The common room also offers a separate space with a café-style atmosphere. With facilities to make a free hot drink, it's a great place to study for a few hours or relax with your friends. It offers a cosy and private space, perfect for some of our smaller events. The space is used to study and socialise and has a range of board games for you to enjoy.
There is ample study space located close to Bowland College, with the Library, and the Learning Zone available for you to use.
There are eight laundrettes on campus. The closest to Bowland are just a short walk away in County South along the North Spine, accessible for those living in Annexe, Ash House, Bowland Halls and Bowland Main, and in Furness College, which is close to the Tower, Slaidburn House, Bowland East and Bowland South. You can use any of the laundrettes on campus. Instructions for the purchase of a pre-paid laundrette card and instructions for how to use the machines can be found on the wall of the laundrette.
