How many people share?
It varies in each area, but the cluster flats are mostly shared between 4-8 people, with one or two shower rooms and WCs, depending on the number sharing.
Eight students share a kitchen, two shower rooms and two WCs in Grizedale College. In Pendle, it's between five and eight and the provision of WC/shower rooms rises from one to two per flat where more than five share. Four to six students share the cluster flats in Furness Perimeter and between five and 18 in Bowland Main, South and East.
The more spacious cluster flats with lounge/kitchen/diners accommodate larger groups. Bowland ASH groups 12 or 13 people in each cluster, with four WC/shower rooms; County Main has groups of between eight and 13 (with three to five WC/shower rooms); and Furness Main clusters are shared between seven and 11 students, with three or four WC/shower rooms each.
Where bedrooms are grouped together in a house rather than a cluster flat (County and Grizedale Colleges only) they are shared by 12 people. Three upper floors accommodate twelve bedrooms and six WC/shower rooms, above a communal living/dining/kitchen area on the ground floor.
